Our Art
The first thing we did for this art project was cut out big eye shapes, then paint around the edges with black paint and did a black circle in the middle. After that, once the paint had dried, we got three oil pastels all the same colour, but different shades. With the darkest shade you picked, press hard and colour around the edges of the eye with it, then do your middle shade and then do your light shade till you get to the black circle in the middle. You can blend the lines between with a nearby colour, it should then look like a cool eye.
To make it into an animal you cut newspaper into thin strips and stick the ends of them in the middle so they will stick out like a pom pom.
Then for the nose you paint a type of curved triangle and paint the nostrils onto it. To paint the whole thing nose you would need grey, black and white paint you would start by painting the nose grey and then put white at the top and around the nostrils for highlights. For the end part you stick on the eyes and nose and paint the face of your animal. We really enjoyed doing this because we got to do lots of fun activities to make it and we enjoy doing art and crafts!
